Guided by Light, Grounded by Care.

  • A Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is an advanced-practice provider trained to assess, diagnose, and treat mental health conditions across the lifespan. Services include psychiatric evaluations, medication management, supportive psychotherapy, and treatment planning. Dr. Aget-Torres is doctorally prepared (DNP) and board-certified (PMHNP-BC).

  • Morning Light Wellness currently offers secure telehealth appointments. In-person care is planned as the practice grows. Virtual care expands access, removes the friction of commuting and waiting rooms, and allows patients to receive high-quality care from a private, comfortable space.

  • Your first visit is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, typically 60 minutes. We take time to understand your history, current concerns, strengths, and goals. By the end, we will discuss potential diagnoses, treatment options, and a clear next step. Nothing is rushed.

  • We accept select insurance plans and continue to expand our network. Because coverage varies, we recommend verifying your benefits before your appointment. Our team will help you understand any out-of-pocket costs upfront.

  • Yes. Self-pay is available for patients who prefer private-pay care or are using out-of-network benefits. We are committed to clear, upfront pricing and will provide a Good Faith Estimate in line with the No Surprises Act.

  • Yes. Morning Light Wellness provides psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults. Care for younger patients is family-centered and developmentally informed — parents and guardians are an active part of the conversation, and we coordinate with schools and other treating providers when it would help. Required custody and consent documentation is reviewed before the first appointment.

  • Yes. Both are well-supported by decades of clinical research. The most effective approach is usually individualized — sometimes therapy alone, sometimes medication alone, often a thoughtful combination of both. What works for one person isn't always what works for another, which is why personalization matters.

  • When clinically appropriate and safe, certain controlled medications may be considered as part of treatment, in accordance with state and federal regulations governing telehealth-based prescribing. Prescribing decisions are made carefully — patient safety and responsible care guide every decision. Some controlled medications may not be appropriate for telehealth-based care.

  • If you are in immediate danger or experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. To speak with a trained crisis counselor, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Morning Light Wellness is not an emergency or 24/7 service.

  • Yes. Your information is protected under HIPAA. We use secure, encrypted platforms for communication and visits. Standard legal exceptions (such as imminent safety concerns or court orders) apply and will be reviewed at the start of care so you know exactly what to expect.

  • At this time, our providers are licensed to treat patients located in Nevada. If you are temporarily traveling, please contact our team — we can help clarify what is possible within current regulations.

  • Once you are scheduled, you will receive a secure invitation to our TherapyNotes patient portal. The portal is where you complete intake forms, review documents, send secure messages, and manage your account.
